It all began with my (Billie’s) obsession with candles. 🕯️ Like many people, I loved filling our home with warm light and beautiful fragrances, and I’d regularly stock up on candles from a well-known brand. But one day, Dad (Eddie) pointed out the black soot that was building up on the rims of the jars—and around our home. I hadn’t given it much thought until he explained how these candles release harmful pollutants into the air we breathe. That was my wake-up call.

At the same time, Dad, who has always struggled with sensitive skin, was battling issues caused by harsh soaps. After taking a closer look at the labels of some popular products, we discovered that many were packed with chemicals like SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), which strips the skin of its natural oils and leaves it dry and irritated.

We decided to take matters into our own hands—literally! Determined to create healthier, natural alternatives, thats how Scrub & Soak was born.
